| HKCA
to lay second wicket at Po Kong Village Road [11.04.2003] - Updated
The Hong Kong Cricket
Association will use financial aid from Asian Cricket
Council (ACC) and International Cricket Council (ICC) to establish
a second pitch at Po Kong Village Road during the off
season
(summer 2003). Further assistance has come from Mr Jim
Middleton,
one of
HKCA Executive Committee Members, who has kindly donated 400 trucks of
topsoil and grass
to be laid
on the
ground and HKCA President, Mr Terry Smith, who has arranged a container
for extra storage at the ground. Having two pitches at PKVR
is expected to ease the pressure on cricket grounds in the territorty
next season.
Update - Some
photos on the PKVR progress. The first photo
is the stand cover which be particularly useful during rainy days and
Winter. The rest are Pitch B developments from its original state to
making of the wicket.
